Head Office

Community is the heart of everything we do at Loungers. We want our team to feel empowered to give back to their local community and support their local area. All our Lounges are given the freedom to run their own events and to create moments that are important to them and their customers. To support this, we have a Community team that oversee community engagement and local marketing. It’s important to us that we show up locally, that we join in, that we help out, and that we build real relationships in the places we’re in. This role exists to inspire our teams to get involved, and to make community feel confident and contagious across a whole region.

As a Community Partner you’ll be the community lead in your region. Partnering with Operation Leads, you’ll be the person who brings the energy and passion that inspires others to understand the ‘why’ behind community, as well as provide the tools to enable the “how”. You’ll coach and support sites to deliver community brilliantly - not by doing everything for them, but by enabling GMs and site Champions to self-serve, get involved, and feel proud of what they’re putting into their local area. Your passion for community will be infectious and underpin everything you do. Bringing your creative flair and affinity to all things community you’ll play a huge role in helping every lounge feel like a home away from home in each and every community.

This is a field-based role, working closely with our Operations team. You’ll be out and about in Lounges, with teams, making Lounges a genuine part of local communities.

The role in a Nutshell

You’ll embed community into the day-to-day activities of our Lounges across your region, building capability and inspiring momentum so community doesn’t rely on a few brilliant individuals, it lives and breathes and naturally becomes “how we do things here”.

Getting into the detail

Be the visible “why”. Make community feel infectious, important, and a genuine part of every Lounge

  • By creating pride across your region: spotlighting great execution, celebrating progress, and recognising teams publicly
  • Keep momentum through busy periods by continuing to show up with a steady drumbeat of examples and wins
  • Protect the culture: community isn’t “marketing garnish”; it’s integral to everything we do here, it’s how we show up locally

Coach GMs, Community Champions and Social Champions

  • With a focus on planning activities, getting tone right, ensuring local relevance, and event hygiene
  • Help teams become confident and then step back, so they own it

Work as a close partner to your Operations Director and Regional Ops Managers:

  • Agreeing alignment, prioritisation, and smart escalation.
  • Present at Regional huddles to set standards, share best practice and drive focus.
  • Ensure every new Operations Manager has an engaging induction with the Community Lead.
  • Participate in HQ Inductions to embed “how we do community” across leadership

Support new site openings (NSO) to build community readiness.

  • Ensure each new site has the basics nailed: outreach, local partners, opening comms, minimum social standards, first 30-day community rhythm.

Help sites deliver our big fundraising moments brilliantly

  • Make LoungeAid Summer and LoungeAid Christmas feel integral to the year
  • Share ideas and best practice across Champions, GMs and Operations.
  • Ensure sites have what they need to deliver confidently: guidance, till set-up, assets and compliance (including GDPR).

Develop ‘Community Action Plans’ to drive real change

  • Diagnose where community is slipping and turn CAPs into practical coaching interventions.
  • Run site visits, agree actions, follow up delivery, and work with Operations Managers to hold accountability.

Replicate best practice

  • Be present and active in regional WhatsApp/Communication and Community groups, sharing, congratulating and spotlighting great work.
  • Keep questions self-serve by pointing teams back to guidance and toolkits - not doing work on their behalf.
  • Reduce bespoke requests by making great formats easy to copy.

Quality control and escalation

  • Spot emerging reputation risks, recurring issues linked to community/events, or local sensitivities.
  • Escalate through the right route (Ops/PR /marketing) rather than fixing via bespoke work.

What success looks like

  • People understand why Community is so important and are excited about the concept
  • Community feels consistent across your region - not dependent on a few standout sites
  • GMs and Champions feel confident, capable and proud of their local activity.
  • CAPs (Community Action Plans) lead to visible improvements in targeted sites.
  • New site openings launch brilliantly, with community momentum and a clear first-30-day rhythm.
  • LoungeAid moments land smoothly, confidently and with strong participation.
  • Best practice spreads fast and bespoke requests reduce over time.

What you’ll bring

  • Above all, you’ll bring energy and passion that feels real, not performative. You can lift a room without taking it over.
  • You’re a natural coach: warm, clear, encouraging- and able to land standards firmly in a way that is still well received when needed.
  • You’re organised enough to run a rhythm across a region, and practical enough to make things easy for busy teams.
  • You’re the right balance between helpful and empowering; you’ll provide the tools and know how without becoming a helpdesk
  • You’re comfortable working hand-in-hand with Operations and genuinely enjoy the prospect of being out in sites regularly across your region.

What’s in it for you?

  • 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays)
  • Up to 10% bonus
  • Company car allowance
  • A culture that appreciates ideas and celebrates individuality
  • Founder-led business - we might have c300 sites, but we still maintain an entrepreneurial spirit through everything we do
  • 50% off food at all Lounges, Cosy Clubs and Brightsides
  • Pension contribution
  • 24/7 mental health support
  • Amazing events including LoungeFest – our annual company festival - Christmas parties and more
  • We want to work with nice people so if you want to work hard, have fun and be part of the Loungers ride, we’d love to have you.

About Us

Loungers is a substantial and growing operator in the UK hospitality sector, operating over c300+ sites in England and Wales across three distinct but complementary brands, Lounges, Cosy Club, and Brightside. Founded in 2002 by three friends who wanted to create a neighbourhood café-bar that they would want to go to. Despite being the fastest growing café/restaurant group in the Country, Loungers has retained its entrepreneurial spirit and quirky ‘Loungey’ local community atmosphere.
