About the Nursing Home:

As a Brain Injury Rehabilitation and Neurological Care Centre, they provide specialist rehabilitation for people over the age of 16 in the early stages of recovery from an acquired brain injury and we also provide residential care for individuals with progressive neurological conditions, such as Motor Neurone Disease.

The role of a Staff Nurse (RGN/RMN/RNLD) within the Nursing Home involves:

• Ensuring the care, welfare and safety of all residents is maintained at the highest possible standard.
• Completing physical/psychological assessments of new residents on admission.
• Creating individualised care plans for residents.
• Updating care plans daily.
• Safely administering and recording of medication.
• Liaising effectively with external suppliers and health care providers.
• Monitoring and developing performance of care staff.
• Ensuring effective rotas are in place.
• Use a person-centred approach to ensure every individual’s needs are understood and met with the greatest privacy, dignity, and respect.

Requirements for the Staff Nurse (RGN/RMN/RNLD) role:

• You must have a Registered Nurse Qualification (RGN/RMN /RNLD)
• Active PIN or awaiting your NMC PIN
• Clear DBS.
