Registered Nurse Contract (RGN / RMN)

  • Competitive Pay: £18.50 per hour, with an opportunity for a pay increase following the successful completion of a 6-month probation period.
  • Flexible Working Hours: Contracted for 33/44 hours per week, ensuring a healthy work-life balance.

What You’ll Do:

  • Craft Personalized Care Plans: Collaborate with residents, their families, and healthcare professionals to design and implement care plans that reflect the unique needs and preferences of each individual.
  • Ensure Accuracy: Observe daily interactions and health conditions, ensuring all care documentation is precise, legal, and easily understood by the team.
  • Lead with Confidence: Start each shift by organizing and guiding your team, ensuring everyone understands their role in delivering top-notch, person-centered care.
  • Facilitate Seamless Transitions: Oversee shift handovers, ensuring clear communication and continuity of care.
  • Monitor Health: Perform routine observations and manage specific health needs with meticulous attention to detail and safety.
  • Administer Medications: Safely manage and administer medications, adhering to MAR sheets and all protocols.
  • Build Meaningful Relationships: Develop trusting and compassionate relationships with residents, their families, and other healthcare professionals, addressing concerns with empathy and urgency.
  • Promote Independence: Support residents in their daily activities, encouraging autonomy while providing hands-on assistance when needed.
  • Act on Feedback: Be responsive to team input and continually strive to improve care, always placing the well-being of residents at the forefront.
  • Champion Respect and Dignity: Uphold the dignity and individuality of every resident, ensuring their personal needs and preferences are honored.
  • Create a Vibrant Community: Facilitate social interactions and activities that enrich the lives of our residents and foster a sense of belonging.
  • Prioritize Safety: Maintain a vigilant focus on health and safety, ensuring a secure environment for residents and staff.
  • Support Nutrition: Advocate for balanced nutrition and hydration, particularly for residents at risk of weight changes or dehydration.
  • Respond to Emergencies: Be prepared to act swiftly and effectively in emergencies, utilizing our on-call system and reflective practices to improve care delivery.

About You:

  • You’re a Registered General Nurse (RGN) or Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with an active NMC Nursing PIN.
  • While experience in a care home is a bonus, what truly matters is your passion for care and dedication to improving the lives of our residents.
  • You have a natural ability to connect with people—residents, families, and colleagues alike—bringing warmth, understanding, and a calm, patient demeanor to every interaction.
  • Your communication skills are outstanding, whether discussing a resident’s needs, updating a family member, or guiding your care team, you do so with empathy, clarity, and respect.
