About the nursery:

The nursery is perfectly placed on enchanting grounds, the nursery first opened its doors in 2006 and has played an important part in the education and care of many of local children and families. The nursery provides childcare for children from 6 weeks to 5 years of age to learn, play and develop. They are open Monday – Friday from 8am – 6pm and registered to care for up to 69 children.

The role of a Nursery Manager within the Nursery involves:

  • Managing budgets, marketing, occupancy levels and KPI’s.
  • Preparing for Ofsted inspections.
  • Assisting in the recruitment of nursery staff, manage inductions, supervisions, and appraisals.
  • Leading the team and support in EYFS planning and looking at reflective practice.
  • Managing staff rotas and staff meetings.
  • Ensuring children’s observations, assessment and development records are maintained.
  • Having lead responsibility of Safeguarding and Health & Safety, ensuring all staff follow policy and
  • Working in partnership with parents forming caring and trusting relationships.
  • Liaising with the Local Authorities and other professionals associated with the nursery.

To be considered for the role of Nursery Manager you will have:

  • Level 3 (or above) childcare qualification
  • Good knowledge of the EYFS
  • Previous leadership experience (Senior Room Leader, Deputy Manager)
  • Ability to motivate, inspire and lead a small team
  • Friendly, approachable, and positive attitude
