Requirements for the Senior Healthcare:

Have a Level 3 Health & Social Care

Have previous care experience

About the service:

This service is a Care Home centred around an old nineteenth century barn situated within a two acre landscaped site surrounded by countryside.

The staff offer personal care for residents and also those living with dementia. Staff respect and appreciate the individual needs and wishes of each and every one of the residents.

Duties and Responsibilities of a Senior Healthcare Assistant:

Acting as a positive role model; provide effective supervision and guidance for the team; contribute towards their performance and professional development

Communicating any concerns to senior management

Ensuring the implementation of individual care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed

Providing practical support and responsive care to residents who require assistance with personal care needs

Observing and monitoring the wellbeing of residents, ensuring that any changes are referred and documented

Monitoring and allocating work for HCAs

Developing and maintaining a good professional relationship with residents, colleagues and visitors

Undertake administration of medication training and administer medication to residents
