Interview process

Here are some questions that we get during our hiring process. If you have any additional questions please get in contact with us via recruitment@thelounges.co.uk or head to your local Lounge and speak to one of the managers.

Do Loungers offer visa sponsorship?

Unfortunately due to the current Government requirements we do not offer visa sponsorship at this time.

  • For our salaried managers the standard contract is 48 hours a week, with a 40 hour contract also available.
  • For our hourly team all our contracts are offered on a zero hours contract, you will be able to have a realistic conversation about hours during the interview.
  • Yes is the short answer.
  • However whilst we do employ under 18s, due to the nature of our business there are some duties that under 18s are not able to perform. Therefore the best thing to do is speak to the manager before applying or during the interview process.

We can offer work experience, if you are interested please reach out to your local Lounge to see if they are able to support.

  • Yes and no!
  • If you are applying for one of our hourly positions e.g. Front of House Team Member or Kitchen Assistant then you don’t need experience, you just need a passion for hospitality and a willingness to learn. All training will be provided during your onboarding.
  • However if you are applying for one of our management positions, then yes you will ideally have experience in a similar position.
